Uragaan eh, interesting choice and nice story for it. I don't dislike him. I kind of think he should have just been replaced with the subspecies and skipped what the original gave us. Simple reason is that the rolling is nice but his element/status combo is taken from basarios/gravios. At least with steel it was his own pair that also made sense in the volcano, Instead of fire and carbon monoxide putting you to sleep, it was sulfuric gas that made you stink so you can't use items. Both him and desert seltas didn't deserve the bottom spot on the popularity poll, let iodrome of somehting take that spot. Steel uragaan needs a redeption arc so I'll take the base one in WIlds and wait for steel in the expansion. I was one of the crazies that asked for steel in iceborne because stench is a unique status that World lacked. Also, steel uragaan's armor was great for gl. Zamtrios has to happen, we will get a tundra map in this game so just give him a couple zones of frozen over water. Imagine zamites in a small vs. large monster turf war, all latching onto a monster with their teeth in a swarm as they are flopping about all over it and it's trying to get them off of it. Tigerstripe is really fun so he would be awesome for the expansion, probably. qurupeco needs to happen, now that we have turf wars and herds of monsters. Imagine him calling a bunch of the bears. They did say that every locale will have, at a minimum, 2 large monsters that form herds. The more monsters this bird can mimic the better. I hope he's not shown in trailers, as well as some of the tings he can summon, so we get the magic of that moment of him summoning jho again. Him insighting turf wars and flying off would be hilarious. nerscylla and rackna-kadaki are different enough, i'd be happy to see nerscylla again. Yes, give the Rise monsters a break, for the most part. No, concalala was MH2's jagras. Blangonga was like a rathian ish monster. I would like to see concalala again, he's fun and goofy. Full of personality and a great introduction to the gorillas. The only reason lavasioth stole that spot was becasue World's game engine sucked. MT Framework was awful, it's why the never used it since World. Took them a year to make zorah work and his main mechanics were done on a PS2 platformer that used a modified racing game engine a year before MH1 released, in a game that took a year as a whole to make and also beat Mario Galaxy to its spherical planets and gravity level design by 4 years.. If that engine wasn't trash, lagi and agnaktor would have been in World. I would prefer the pickle because he wasn't in the last 2 games, if i had to choose one or the other. If we got both, i'd be happy. Seething not being an invader was tragic. Dalamadur would be really fun. It looks like we are getting the lagi style skleton back, with balahara, so there's no reason not to have the snakes too.

Fellow lancer. Lance was my first weapon. Really didn't want to rely on the roll, with my poor eyesight, but I've since branched out to many weapons. Akantor was in concept art for the elders recess in World so, with Wild's looking to have huge maps/zones, akantor and ukanlos may not need their boss arenas anymore. Maybe have quests with them and elder dragons together. Seltas and seltas queen have to happen. They are amazing monsters, them being insects adds so much variety to the game, the subspecies need a redeption arc in the expansion, etc. There are so many reasons to bring these guys back. It's tragic that desert seltas tied with steel uragaan for last on the monster poll. Neither of them deserved that, to be honest. Yamatsukami would be awesome. giant balloon, hive, octopus, with human teeth, taht breaths in forests to get at teh soil. He's pulls a mega maid from Space Balls to get at the dirt and just pukes up the trees and monsters he sucks in. Heve him do taht in the fight, please! Kulve could happen, assuming they do 16 player lobbies again. I enjoyed her for the first 30 to 50 hunts but, for the other 450 or so, low balling that probably, she got annoying. Never got that single kjarr weapon. I had all of them apart from the kjarr bazel gl. She's a fucking pinata, pinatas are not Monster Hunter. You farm parts to make what you want, you don't pop a pinata for prizes. Safi was debatably worse. I do agree that short hunts are boring. Gigginox has to happen. He's been gone since 3rd gen. Imagine like that chatacabra being attacked by the raptors, large monster vs. small monsters, but it's giggies on something in a tundra all latching onto it. Could laos do this with zamites but giggys have the added bonus of when they drink enough blood they are abe to use poison. All the animations of monsters getting swarmed, as they flop about while latched onto their target and it tries to shake them off. That is the true potential of this new small monster vs. large monster turf war system in Wilds. Gigginox exists because khezu was an utter failure at what they wanted him to be. Yes, now he's a meme in Japan as "ugly-cute" but his reason for existing was horror and gigginox was them trying that again. Gigginox is also the 4th in the quartet with; tigrex, nargacuga, and barioth. Gigginox and barioth were added in the same game.

ngl i kinda hope whe get Somnacanth , cause its one of my favorite monsters in Rise even though to chance of it apearing in wild isnt that high , considering that rise was the latest main line game (atleast if i remember correctly) . I could see Somnacanth showing up in Oasis or maybe deep in caves where its nice & cool with a large body of water perhapts . Another Mosnter i kinda hope to see is Espinas , Kulve Taroth , Nergigante and MAYBE fatalis + white fatalis . Kulve Taroth & Nergigante cause i think they would fit the desert theme with their designs . Espinas & Fatalis + white Fatalis cause i think thos are cool & i havent really fough fatalis or white fatalis yet

it makes me rather happy that I've been seeing more people expressing a desire for gigginox to make a return, and not only from those of us whose #1 favourite is gigginox. gives me a bit of hope that it might actually have a shot after all these years... if there are fans thinking of it, then some of the devs have to be as well, right? 🥲 maybe I'm just coping, but I think it fits wilds' aesthetic and gameplay direction perfectly; its design and unconventional fighting tactics fit the bill in the goal of making the forbidden lands feel foreign and hostile, and it's got tons of potential for environmental and monster interactions with its climbing ability. not to mention the giggis play right into the focus on monster count/density... all it needs is a snowy map with some caves and it'd be right at home! that aside, I'd like to see the other monsters mentioned too, especially those that weren't in 5th gen. Seltas Queen in particular would be hella cool in a modern game.

5:30 Yeah you're wrong here, Yama appeared in both MH2 and MHFU (it also appeared in MHFrontier and MHOnline but they aren't real mh games). Personally, Yama is my favorite in term of design but the gameplays are all horribly executed. As much as I love Yama, I can't see anyway for Capcom to make the fight fun and enjoyable if it makes a return

The return of Ahtal-ka would be awesome, it's such a cool monster and the big open areas and next gen hardware would really allow her to shine.

Don't forget Dak, MR Kulve had a more traditional hunt rather than the siege. You still had to give her the beatdown and break parts to keep her from retreating, but it was a much faster process than the full on siege from base World as all the "spend forty years picking up tracks" fluff was gone.

Seltas would be perfect tbh, it would fit their Pack thing

lol.. I dont think Malzeno will fit with wilds that puch slower and more down to earth just like worldborne.. and I dont think capcom will bring him back to wilds (well maybe on MHWilds Cataclysm with tweaked movesets for wilds). I really like the Idea of Akantor and Kulve coming for Wilds tho ^^

sadly I HIGHLY doubt the malzeno will return he was made for a very fast type of game that rise/sunbreak was and I don't believe that fighting a slower version would be fun. still a great monster but doesn't really have a place in mainline monster hunter

Extremely hot take: I want Gypceros, not necessarily for the fight itself but for the interactions with other monsters. They could work with the fake death mechanic and try making it more tricky to recognise (like for example playing the quest cleared sequence despite not being dead) and also use this fake death against other monsters, we could also see a turf war between Gypceros and Nerscylla. It has potential to be reworked into a interesting monster that is not completely hated by everybody.

Malzeno wouldnt work in wilds, from what we've seen, this time the approach will be much more grounded, and specially SLOWER, like world was. Malzeno is the flagship of sunbreak because it was designed with the bombastic, super fast paced combat style of that game. I mean maybe Malzeno could work, but they would have to really work it for it to fit the game design direction that wilds is taking, essentially making it slower, and prbbly no crazy vampire shenanigans xD

This is what I see so far. 1. Leviathan skeleton seem to working fine now judging by the monster we saw recently. It gave some hope that I will finally see Lagiacrus return but they said underwater will still not return. So it's 50/50 for me. 2. They are talking about "Herd" mechanic. Do you know what I am thinking when I heard.... The word herd? Herbivore fanged beast living in herd. But what monsters we know of living in herd? Monkeys (Blangonga & Congalala) boars (Bulldrome) these are the small one but mh Wild open the opportunity for a large monster herd and what kind of large mammal living in herd? Buffalo, horse, giraffe and of course "Elephant" so what creature in mh is the equivalent of elephant? Gammoth (obviously) imagine, you traversing the tundra step and see a large herd of 20 popos, and you see it for the first time, juvenile Gammoth, 6 of them. In front of the herd are the Elder, THE Gammoth matriarch. And aside from herd system. I heard that there's a season system. That means there will a season that Gammoth will be passive and friendly and there will be a season when they are in heat. I think, we might get a quest to stop heated Gammoth on rampage. With these evidence I think it'll be 70/30 chance for Gammoth.

Gigginox is my number one desire, but the rest of my list of 10 would be Qurupeco, Duramboros, Gravios, Agnaktor, Plesioth, Nibelsnarf, Seltas+Queen, Nerscylla and Najarala. I would love to have Gobul and Lagiacrus return too, but with underwater combat being recently deconfirmed I'm just not sure I'd want to have them if they're land locked :/

I know he was just in Sunbreak, but I want Seregios back so bad. He's my favorite monster in the series, but he so often feels like the forgotten flagship that just doesn't really get much love. I'd really like him to become a monster that comes back semi-regularly. Give him a subspecies too! I'd also like to see Brachydios return, even though he was already in Iceborne, and it's another case of favoritism for me. He's just another one of my favorite monsters ever. Gore Magala and Shagaru Magala should also come back, especially if Nergigante returns mostly because I want to see them in a turf war. Same as the two above, I know they were in a game recently. For monsters that have been on any length of a hiatus, Seltas Queen NEEDS to return. I really want them to both bring back old bug monsters and make more brand new ones because the bug, spider, and crab classes are all super cool and unique. Seltas Queen is another all-time favorite of mine because of how she interacts with the smaller Seltas drone, and I'd love to see her adapted to a new game. Speaking of bugs and crabs, bring in Akura Vashimu and Taikun Zamuza from Frontier. Really, just bring in more Frontier monsters in general. There's so many unique designs in that game that would be a shame to never see again. Sure, some of them absolutely could not work (looking at you, Eruzerion and basically all of the zenith species), but I would say the vast majority could be adapted. Other ones I want to return in no particular order, Monoblos (let him replace Diablos just this once), Zamtrios, Najarala, Hypnocatrice, Goss Harag, Nerscylla, Gogmazios (he could be the big "final update" monster like Fatalis is in Iceborne), Gigginox, Malfestio, Yama Tsukami...frankly there's so many I could name. Don't even have to bring back all of 'em, lol. But if even a few of these returned I'd be pretty happy.

My favorite monster of all time besides mizutsune, is najarala and i would love to see its return in wilds. Even its beautiful colored subspecies
